George N. Nikolis

George N. Nikolis, 82 of Perry Heights, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Aultman Hospital, Canton. He was born in Gornji Sjenicak, Croatia on March 19, 1929 to the late Nikola and Dragica "Dorothy" Manojlovic Nikolis coming to the United States when he was two years old. He worked at Nicks Grill for many years and then worked at Eaton Fastners as a machine operator for 35 years retiring in 1994. George was a member of St. George Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, North Canton. He enjoyed playing: golf, pool, hunting, playing cards, and his many trips to Europe and Florida. George is survived by : his loving wife , Nedeljka "Sandy" Begovic Nikolis, a sister, Katie and Kenny Halco of Perry Township, many niece, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by: brother, Pete Nikolis, a sister, Mary Nussbaumer a nephew, Mike Nussbaumer and a brother-in-law, Dragan Begovic. Visitation will be on Friday, January 20, 2012 at the Paquelet and Arnold – Lynch Funeral Home from 6PM-8PM, with a Pomen service at 6:30PM. Family and friends may also call on Saturday January 21, 2012 from 10AM -11AM at St. George Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, North Canton, funeral service at 11AM, Fr. Dragan Filipovic, Celebrant. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. George Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church.
