Gary W. Slingluff

Gary Slingluff of Canton passed away Friday night. Born in Minerva to Don and Dorothy Slingluff, he had one sister Gloria, all of whom have preceded him in death. Gary was an avid baseball fan, football fan, skilled golfer and loved “Rock-n-Roll MAN”! Anyone who knew him, knew his love for the Beatles! Gary graduated from Minerva and attended Ohio State as a Freshman in 1965, where he was studying to be a Radio DJ. He was drafted to Vietnam in 1968 where he served in the Army until honorably discharged in 1969. Upon returning stateside, Gary opened his own Clothing store in Canton, G. Warren Limited. Soon after, he began selling insurance for MetLife, then owning his own agency, Slingluff Insurance. After being in the industry for almost 35 years, Gary retired and enjoyed spending his time with his friends, daughter, and grandchildren. Gary is survived by his daughter Jenna Slingluff (Joshua Coon) and his two grandchildren, who made him smile ever more than the Beatles, Lydia, and Leland.
