Frank J. Varga, 85 formerly of North Lawrence, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2012 at Brewster Parke. He was born on July 13, 1927 in Sharon, PA to the late Frank & Rose (Slanitz) Varga. Frank retired after 40 years of service at Republic Steel Enduro Division and was a former fireman at the North Lawrence Volunteer Fire Department. He was a Navy Veteran serving in World War II. He was proud of his Hungarian heritage and was active in gatherings of his friends from The Massillon Hill Gang. He is survived by his wife, Mettie J. Varga whom he married on July 16, 1949, three daughters, Vicki (Richard) Keffler of Tucson, AZ, Sherri (Tom) Hornbrook of Navarre, Cindi (Bill) Ilg of Murrells Inlet, SC, 11 grandchildren Aaron (Maria) Keffler, Jennifer (Val) Martin, John (Emily) Keffler, Joe (Nanette) Allen, Suzanne (Keith) Currier, Ann (Ryan) Kelly, Jane (Jeremy) Combs, Holly (Reed) Natali, Erin Ilg, Darcie and Jessie Ilg , eight great-grandchildren, Chris, Anna and Nadia Keffler, Tyler Martin, Olive Keffler, Zoe and Eva Allen and Nolan Combs and sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Ketler. Proceded in death by a sister, Theresa Lamb. Friends may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 from 6-8PM. Funeral services will be held at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 10:00AM. Burial will be in Newman Creek Cemetery.
