Frank J. “Pa Pa Bear” Mercurio, age 92 of Massillon, passed away Thursday morning at his residence following an extended illness. He was born in Columbus, OH on October 2, 1912 to the late Frank and Mary (Scalia) Mercurio and lived in Massillon for nine years. Frank retired from Kroger Bakery in 1977 following 40 years as a baker. He was a WWII Army Veteran. Frank loved to bass fish, work on TV’s and operate CB’s. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by: His wife Eula M. Mercurio who passed away April 15, 2004 Brothers; Joe, William, Phillip, John and Sam Mercurio, a sister; Ann Malone. He is survived by: Son and daughter-in-law; Larry and Connie Lamson of Massillon Grandchildren: Annette (John) Bradley of Magnolia, Jackie (Ron) Hatfield of Jackson Twp., Great Grandchildren; Josh and Karissa Williams, Britnee and Larry Joe Simcox, Amber Hatfield and Christopher Bradley, Great Great Grandchildren; Colin John and Carter Bradley. Calling hours will be held Sunday 2-5 PM and one hour prior to the services on Monday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Phil Raynes officiating. Interment will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Columbus.
