Edward "Ted" Price, Sr., 86, of Canton, caring husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 19, 2013 at the Laurels of Massillon following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Amsterdam, Ohio on December 27, 1926 to the late Leroy and Grace Price. Ted was a World War II veteran where he served proudly in the Army Air Corps. He was employed by Industrial Forge for several years and retired from Portec after twenty-seven years. He was an active member of Fellowship Baptist Church, enjoyed flea marketing at Shadyrest in Strasburg and spending his free time watching Cleveland Indians and Cavaliers games with his wife, Phyllis. Ted is survived by his wife, Phyllis, of fifty-three years; daughter, Michelle; son, Edward, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Carol; granddaughters, Emily, and Ashley; and brother, William. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Jim and Richard Price; and a sister, Martha Hinton. Friends may call at Paquelet Funeral Home, Massillon from 11:30AM-1:30PM on Thursday, October 24, 2013. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday at 1:30PM in the funeral home.
