Doris M. Rudy

Doris M. Rudy, age 85 of Massillon, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at the Laurels of Massillon. Doris was born on October 28, 1925 in Massillon the daughter of the late Gail and Mayme (O’Brecht) Eckard. Doris lived in the area her entire life, and was a 1943 graduate of Washington High School. She was a homemaker, a member of St. James Church at the Crossroads, VFW Auxiliary, a lifetime member of Ladies Chapter Clinton Lodge #47 and Ladies D.A.V. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert I. Rudy in 2004, her son, Robert A. Rudy in 2008, her daughter, Karen Nash in 2010 and her infant brother. She is survived by her grandchildren Sean Rudy of Massillon, Kimberly (L.D.) Collins, Jr. of Massillon, Georgiana (John) Plummer of Lima, Trinda (Shon) Cunningham of Perry Twp., Lou Ann (Steve) Weygandt of Massillon and Jasmin Rudy of TX; numerous great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; her sister Norma Jean Gleason of Massillon and her son-in-law George Nash of Massillon. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Paquelet and Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Dalton Cemetery. Dr. Roger S. Alber, Officiating.
