Daniel Stepanovich

Daniel Stepanovich, age 90 passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2012. He was born to the late Sam and Helen (Perich) Stepanovich in Canton, on December 4, 1921. He was a graduate of Canton South High School. He married Lottie Pribich, and their marriage lasted 30 years until her passing on April 19, 1996. Daniel proudly served his country during World War II. He was employed as a plumber until his retirement. He was an active, devoted lifelong member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, where he served as a tutor and past president of the church. Daniel served as president of Nikola Tesla Lodge #223 with the Serbian National Federation and was a former member of the Massillon Tigers Sideliner Club. One of Daniel's joys in life was barbecuing lamb, pig and chicken and his love of children. Daniel will be remembered as a devoted and loving uncle, brother and friend. Daniel is survived by his sister, Daisy Verlinich; his brother Michael Stepanovich, and host of nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his step-son Daniel Miljanich; brothers, Eli, George, and Borkey; his sisters Mildred Sakarak, Amy Petrovich, and Mary Marinkovich. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 10 A.M. at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church. The Most Reverend Father Dragan Filipovic will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Tuesday October 2, 2012 at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Burial will follow the church service at Massillon Cemetery.
