Cullen "Max" Maxhimer

Cullen “Max” Maxhimer, 86, of Massillon, passed away at his home on August 2, 2021. He was born on May 22, 1935 in Wampum, Pennsylvania to the late Mark and Helen (Moskal) Maxhimer. He was the proud owner of Maxhimer Family Stock Farm, devoting the majority of his life to his passion of farming. Max also retired from Perry Rubber after 44 years of service and he proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was very active in 4H with his two daughters and then continued the tradition with his only granddaughter, Raegan who was the light of his life. Max will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 56 years, Shirley (Laporte) Maxhimer; his beloved daughters Michelle (Mark) Harder and Mindy (Ty) Richmond; his granddaughter Raegan Harder; brothers Marvin (Vickie) Maxhimer and Lloyd (Claudia) Maxhimer. In addition to his parents, Max was preceded in death by his brother Leonard Maxhimer. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 6, 2021 from 11am-2pm at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. and final resting place will be at Newman Cemetery.
