Cora D. Hoover

Cora D. Hoover, 87, of Massillon, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021, surrounded by her family. Cora was born on October 19, 1934, in Chloe, WV the daughter of the late Curtis and Mary (Miller) Duffield. She had worked as a home health care aid, private duty, for Doctor’s Hospital. Cora enjoyed working the concession stand with her son at auctions. She also loved tending to her flower gardens. Most of all she loved helping people. Cora was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Hoover, and her son, Roger Duffield. She is survived by her children and their spouses, DeWayne (Carla) Duffield, Linda (Robert) McCombs, Dean (Karen) Duffield, and Sue Duffield; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Cora’s life will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021, at Calvary Baptist Church at 11 a.m.: 11616 Sinclair Street SW, Massillon, OH 44647. Interment will follow at Brookfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and one hour before the service at the church.
