Clifford "Cliff" E. Crew

Clifford “Cliff” E. Crew, age 87 of Massillon, passed away on August 15, 2021. He was born in Sebring, Ohio on April 29, 1934, to the late Phillip and Lena Crew. He was a 1951 graduate of Massillon Washington High School. He married Shirley Bond on July 03, 1987, and she survives. Cliff was a Letter Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 35 years. He was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Massillon. Cliff enjoyed golfing, reading, watching his granddaughter play softball and spending time with his family. He was a member of Clinton Masonic Lodge #47 and a past president of the Massillon Lions Club and managed the Lions Lincoln Theater in Massillon for many years. He will be missed for his wit and selfless caring for others. He is survived by his wife Shirley of 34 years; his daughter Deborah Springer; his son Mark(Michelle) Crew; his grandchildren Hanna Crew and Will Springer; his stepchildren; Susan Wilson, Kent Wilson and Kendra (Roger King) Long; his step-grandchildren Julie (Jonathan) Payne, Heather Scott, Randy (Caitlin) Long and Stephanie (Bart) Peeper and 8 great-grandchildren as well as a host of family and friends. In addition to his parents, Cliff was preceded in death by his brothers Paul and John Crew. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and services were private.
