Clayton Betz

Clayton Betz, age 90, of Massillon, passed away May 13, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family. Clayton was born in Canton, Ohio on October 21, 1931 to the late Clayton and Lillian (Finney) Betz. In, 1956 he was married to the love of his life Shirley (Palmer) Betz. Clayton retired after 36 years with Holsing Lithograph where he was a printer and part owner. He was a lifelong member of the American Legion, Elks Lodge, F.O.E. #190, VFW, Massillon Tiger Booster Club, Tiger Sideliners, and the Massillon Orangemen. He enjoyed sports of every kind and was an avid golfer. “Clay” was very involved with his community and Massillon Football, but still had time to coach his children’s sports teams, spend time with his grandchildren and travel around the world with his wife Shirley of 65 years. Along with his wife, Shirley, he is survived by sisters, Carol Owens and Stephanie Betz; sons, Randy (Emily) Betz and Mike Betz; daughter, Sharon Budd; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. A funeral will take place at Paquelet Funeral Home on Thursday May 19, 2022, at 11:00 AM. The family will receive guests at Paquelet Funeral Home on Wednesday May 18, 2022, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 PM.
