Chin Ku Lee, 67, of Massillon, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021. Chin was born on September 3, 1953, in South Korea, the son of the late Dae Kyu and Michiko Yi. He worked as a painter for N.F.M. Welding Engineers, Inc. and retired after 22 years of service. Chin enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was a simple and quiet man. Chin was a master tradesman and craftsman in woodworking. He was also a Master in Hapkido, which is a form of martial art. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Shiplett; and brother, Howard Yi. He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa (Leonard) Lee whom he shared 28 years of marriage; sisters and brother, Jeanna (Russ) Latimer, Susan Han, and Daniel Yi; brother-in-law, Charles Leonard, Jr.; cousin, Randall Taylor; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews, friends, and co-workers. A Celebration of Chin’s life will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society: www.cancer.org.
