Charlotte Jean May

Charlotte J. May, age 74 went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 25, 2015. She was born in New Philadelphia on March 31, 1941 to the late Delmar and Irene (Smallwood) Smith. She was a 1959 graduate of Washington High School. She married Glenn A. May on April 10, 1964 and they shared 51 years together until her passing Charlotte worked briefly for the Massillon State Hospital after high school and then as a homemaker. She enjoyed the Sunshine Group and the Clothing Ministry at the Massillon Baptist Temple. Charlotte is survived by her husband Glenn; her sons Scott A. (Leisa) May and Greg D. (Carrie) May; her grandchildren Jason Sigala, Nicole Sigala, Zachary May, Amanda May, Ryan May and Daniel May; her brothers David (Mary Ann) Smith and Tom Smith. A Celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, October 01, 2015 at 12 noon at the Massillon Baptist Temple. Pastor Cecil Thayer will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a. m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Sunset Hills Burial Park.
