Charles A. Gerhard

Charles A. Gerhard, 69 of Perry Township, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2014. Charles was born on January 29, 1945 in Confluence, PA the son of the late Richard and Alice (Anderson) Gerhard. Chuck lived here most of his life and was a 1963 graduate of Washington High School. He was a United States Army veteran and served our country during the Vietnam War. He worked for Republic Steel, retiring after many years of service. Chuck enjoyed golfing, and reading. He was a member of the Eagles #190. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Kaye Gerhard in 2006 and his brother Ed Gerhard. He is survived by his son Todd Gerhard; his daughter Amy (Steve) Morgan; his grandchildren Jessica, Trent and Riley; his great grandson Miles; and his sister Shirley Gerhard. A Celebration of Chuck's life will be held on December 31, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Dr. Roger Alber will be officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. before the service.
