Cecelia L. "Sis" Flinner

Cecelia L. "Sis" Flinner, age 78 of Navarre, Ohio, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Altercare of Navarre. She was born on November 1, 1936 in Navarre at the home where she spent most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Jay E. and Loretta (Hambach) Strubel. Sis was a dairy farmer all of her life and was a member of the Stark County Dairy Promoters. She was also a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church and the Perry Grange where she was a cook. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Therlyn "Jake" Flinner, her daughter Linda Kay Rohr, her sisters, Irene Horn, Helen Strubel, Ardell Raynard and Margie Speicher and her brother Leroy Strubel. She is survived by her son, Vic (Marybeth) Flinner and her grandchildren, Kayla Rohr and Andrew (Brittany) Rohr and Victor, Jr. (Chelsea) Flinner, Elizabeth Flinner and Jack Flinner. She will be missed by countless family members, friends and many who called her "grandma". Funeral services will take place on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Otterbein United Methodist Church. Rev. Scott Hayward will officiate. Burial will follow at Union Lawn Cemetery in Navarre. The family will receive friends at Paquelet Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and on Friday one hour before the service at the church. The Perry Grange will have a service Thursday at 5:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Otterbein United Methodist Church Building Fund or the charity of the donor's choice.
