Carol Lesley Short

Carol Lesley Short, 80, of Massillon, passed away at her home on March 19, 2023. She was born in the United Kingdom on September 1, 1942, to the late Harry and Janet (Hodges) Skidmore.

Carol worked for Hitachi automotive supplier and retired after 20+ years of service.

She loved the simple things in life like reading mystery novels and watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Carol also enjoyed travelling and could always be found listening to her favorite opera singer, Luciano Pavarotti.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Skidmore.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving daughters, Elizabeth Short and Janet Hopkins; her two beloved grandchildren David and Julia Hopkins; as well as her loyal, furry companions, Toby, and Zach.

Carol had a compassionate heart for rescuing animals, like Toby and Zach, so any memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Stark County Humane Society, P.O. Box 7077, Canton, Ohio 44705.
