Carol (Cook) Warstler

March 18, 1923 — February 26, 2016

Carol (Cook) Warstler, born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1923 to Clark Morgan and Phyllis Powell Cook, passed away on February 26, 2016. Carol was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Dwaine Edward Warstler; her sister, Alice Cook Mollet; and, most recently, her sister-in-law, Rheta Thompson. Carol was a 1941 graduate of Lehman High School. During World War II, she worked for the US Navy which operated in the Hoover Company. Carol was a devoted 70-year member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Massillon. Carol enjoyed golf and was an avid Bridge player. Carol is survived by her children: Vicki (Denny) Johnson, Robin (Debby) Warstler, and Wendy (Steve) Silver; and her grandchildren:Morgan (Sherina) Warstler, Simon (April) Warstler, Hannah (John) Burnworth, Elizabeth (Matt) Nyeste, Emily (Courtney) Gales, Jacquie (Brian) Kilpatrick, Tori and Alice Silver;and her sister, Phyllis (Nick) Poccia. She has 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A private service will be held at a later date. Those who wish may make a memorial donation in Carol's name to the Christian Science Society, 310 Lincoln Way East, Massillon, Ohio 44646; Cross Roads Hospice, Suite E, 3743 Boettler Oaks Dr., Green, Ohio 44685; or Bethany Nursing Home, 626 34th St. NW, Canton, Ohio 44709.
