Carol Ann Balizet

Carol Ann Balizet, 68, of Massillon, passed away unexpectedly on November 19, 2018. She was born on July 21, 1950 in Canton to the late Donald August & Rita Virginia (Schindler) Balizet. Carol was a member of the Triosis, Red Hat Society and of Rivertree Christian Church where she also worked for 12 years doing housekeeping. Prior to working at the church, Carol was a beautician and then worked at Nickle’s Bakery where she retired from after 30 years of service. Carol was known for being very artistic and crafty. She made beautiful floral arrangements for weddings including doing her sister’s wedding. In her spare time, Carol enjoyed card club with friends and playing games with her family. Her greatest passion in life was being a mother and especially a grandmother. She lived for her grandchildren and never missed a sporting event. She was their biggest fan. Carol will be deeply missed by her daughters, Wendy (Scott) Jobe and Michelle (David) Wilson-St.Clair; siblings Donald (Mary) Balizet Jr., Debi (Don) Whitman, Tom (Sally) Balizet, John Balizet, Janine (John) Bair and Rob (Andrea) Balizet; grandchildren Hunter, Logan, Piper, Reagan, Addie, Ariana, Connor, and Liam; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 12:30-2 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Al Dangelo officiating. Burial will take place at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carol’s name to Aultman Compassionate Care, 2821 Woodlawn Ave NW, Canton, OH 44708.
