Carl O. Buchner

Carlyle O. "Carl" Buchner, 86 of Massillon, passed away on Wednesday, June 01, 2016 at Aultman Hospital. He was born on December 22, 1929 in Novelty, Ohio and was the son of the late Oliver and Iva (Dines) Buchner. Carl worked for and retired from Jones Transfer where he drove trucks. He was a member of the First Assembly of God. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Stephen Buchner and his sisters Doris Young and Phyllis Childs. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Linda (Beres) Buchner, his daughter, Terri Reed, his son Rick Buchner, 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. A service to celebrate Carl's life will take place on Saturday at 12:00 noon at the Paquelet Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremy McGraw officiating. The family will receive friends fom 11-12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Philomatheon Society, 2701 West Tuscarawas St. Canton, OH 44708.
