Barbara J. Douglas

Barbara J. Douglas, 81 of Massillon, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017. She was born on March 13, 1936 in East Palestine, Ohio and was the daughter of Russell and Dorothy (Hagerty) Mankin. Barbara was a self-employed hair stylist. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilbert Douglas; son, Russell Bixby and her sister, Ellen Hooks. She is survived by her son, James Bixby, her daughter, Jean (Edward) Yanok, grandchildren, Jason (Elena) Yanok, David (Heidi) Yanok, Matthew Yanok, Brianne Bixby and Jordan (Allen) Merry, great grandchildren, Evelyn, Lily, Cameron, and Carly Yanok and Max Merry and her brother William (Doris) Mankin. The family will host a gathering at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Barbara’s name to Aultman Hospice, 2821 Woodlawn NW, Canton, OH 44708.
