Barbara J Budner

Barbara J. Budner, 84, of Massillon, passed away on July 22, 2021. She was born in Canton on February 11, 1937 to the late Goebel and Alice (Arnold) Yeary. She was a graduate of McKinley High School and a year later married the love of her life, William F. Budner whom she shared 49 wonderful years together before his passing. Barbara was a former member of St. John’s UCC and a member of Faith Community Fellowship. She was very devoted and involved with church and took part in many activities that they held. In her spare time, Barbara was also skilled at crocheting. She welcomed each new baby into the family with one of her blankets that she crafted with love. Her greatest passion of all was being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Barbara loved caring for her home and her family who were her greatest blessings, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her children, Christine (Mark Mallett) Roth, William (Jeniece) Budner, Ted (Nancy) Budner and Sarah (Don) Zickefoose; grandchildren who were the light of her life, Rachel (Roger) Knighten, Caitlin Roth, Britnie (Brandon) Anderson, A.J. (Jenn) Budner, Abby (Jeremy) Wilder, Nikki Budner, Scott Budner, Sierra Budner, Katelyn (Jereme) Burgess, Kimberly Zickefoose; 16 great-grandchildren who she adored and her sisters-in-law Lois Hanood and Christine Yeary. In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Barbara was preceded in death by 3 brothers, John, Bob and Larry Yeary. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 26th from 6-8 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home and following the service she be laid to rest beside her husband at Sunset Hills Burial Park. Barbara’s family would like to give special thanks to the entire staff at The Inn at University Village, especially to those in the Memory Care Unit who graciously cared for Barbara over the years.
