Barbara Frizzell

Barbara D. Frizzell, 86, of Massillon passed away unexpectedly Tuesday March 9, 2010 at Affinity Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 23, 1923 in Mount Pleasant, OH the daughter of the late Ralph and Nellie (Sterling) Craven. A lifelong area resident, Barbara graduated from North Canton Hoover High School. She was a loan officer for Republic Steel Credit Union retiring in 1987. Barbara loved spending time with her family especially playing board games and cards. She loved to dance, was an avid reader, and also enjoyed bowling. She was a member of Grace United Church of Christ. With Barb, family came first and she will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. On September 9, 1949, Barb married Robert Frizzell. Barb is survived by her husband and their children, Dennis (Kathy) Frizzell of Wellington, FL, Jack Frizzell of Stuart, FL, Randy (Kathy) Frizzell of Massillon, Susan (Darrel) Chovan of Massillon, and Janet (Rick) Madison of Port St. Lucie, FL; grandchildren Shannon (Dave) Newsome of Grove City, OH, Zachary and Marissa Chovan both of Massillon; sister Pauline Schneider of N. Canton. She was preceded in death by her brothers Ralph Craven Jr., Paul Craven, and grandson Brett Frizzell. Visitation will be Thursday March 11, 2010 from 5 to 8 P.M. at Paquelet Funeral Home 1100 Wales Rd. NE. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home with additional visitation from noon till the time of service. Pastor Barry Stirbens will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Memorial contributions in Barb’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
