Arlene Wardell

Arlene Wardell, age 84 of Massillon, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2012. Arlene was born on June 21, 1928 in Lafayette, PA the daughter of the late Chester A. and Lillian (Echard) Morehead. Arlene lived in the area most of her life. She enjoyed puzzels, reading the National Inquirer, playing cards and listening to music. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Wardell in 2006, her daughter Linda Derr, her brother Jim Morehead and her infant sister Geraldine Morehead. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Benjamin) Shue; 11 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; her brother, William (Norma) Morehead; and her sister-in-law, Fusako Morehead. The family would like to thank the staff at Amherst Meadows and Affinity Hospital for the great care while she was there. A Celebration of Arlene's Life will be held on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon. Dr. Mark Jacobs will be Officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park.
